I had the privilege of working as the Design Intern for the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain for almost two year during my transition from undergrad into the workforce at the hight of the pandemic in 2020. ECHO saw me as an asset and I went from being a part-time intern to a full-time employee. During the Pandemic, ECHO moved up scheduled renovations from the summer to the wintertime. This gave me the opportunity to design new permanent exhibits with the guidance of my boss and mentor Carolyn Crowley.
I completed so much work while at ECHO, below is a capture of a fraction of what I was able to accomplish. I am so grateful to have served a local nonprofit in my community that advocates for the joy of scientific discovery, wonder of nature, and care of Lake Champlain.

The idea for the #BlackInSTEM Campaign was inspired by the pre-existing hashtag already circulating in the STEM social media community. The goal was to highlight Black individuals working under the umbrella of STEM to provide much needed representation for the younger generations of STEM enthusiasts. The posts were spread out daily throughout the week leading up to Juneteenth.
